User interfaces
An agent's value is theoretical until it's being used by your end users. We think of the end-user-facing UI as the “agentic last mile” because it’s this final step that many folks have the most difficulty with. Vectara provides three solutions to the agentic last mile: Managed Agents, widget connectors, and integrating your own UI code directly with the Vectara Platform.
Managed Agents
Managed Agents are our white-glove offering. With a Managed Agent, Vectara is responsible for every part of the end-to-end agent deployment, including the UI. You never need to touch any code yourself. Some of the Managed Agents we offer are:
- Failure Analysis Managed Agent, designed for semiconductor use cases.
- Engineering Knowledge Search Managed Agent, designed for manufacturing and engineering.
- Customer Support Managed Agent, designed for IT and customer support applications.
Widget connectors
A widget connector serves a ready-made chat UI for a Vectara agent, with no UI code required. It's native to the Vectara Platform and offers a range of options for common types of agentic applications.
Widget connectors allow you to configure an agent’s form factor (for example, a floating chat window or a full-page AI assistant), its color palette and language to match your brand guidelines, and other surface-level knobs. Then you deploy the UI to your users by copying a small code snippet into the page where you want this UI to live. That code snippet will connect with the agent that lives in the Vectara Platform, and produce the agent UI.

Custom UI code integrated with the Platform
The Vectara Platform is flexible enough to support deeply sophisticated, tailor-made UIs. It can integrate with a variety of user interface implementations, whether it’s an application built with your proprietary code or developed on an open-source library favored by your engineering team.
